New Airbus A380 to Carry Twice As Many Overweight Passengers April 27th, 2005
TOULOUSE, FRANCE -- The new Airbus A380 aircraft, an airliner capable of carrying nearly twice as many obese passengers than a Boeing 747, successfully took its first flight today.
"It was an absolutely perfect flight," said pilot Jacques Rosay. "No matter how big or small, we will be able to carry twice as many of them now, really quite easily."
The four-hour flight went off without a hitch, meaning that airlines will soon be able to ferry more fat people at once than ever before.
