Iraqi Guerillas Unionize

BAGDAD -- Shadowy Iraqi insurgents are unionizing, according to unconfirmed intelligence reports. Apparently among the rebels' demands are representation and negotiation channels and is all round "firmly entrenched principle of militant rights."
American University political science professor Clayton Levan said "The idea of collective bargaining for wage control is an idea so important, it's only naturally that it would be appealing even to quasi-terrorist groups."
The move is considered a victory for the Bush administration, since militants working fewer hours and shielded from anti-shirking regulations would reduce the supply of attacks on American interests. "Though it is ironic that a French idea might save the American initiative there," Levan continued.
