Communist Manifesto Purchased at Barnes & Noble December 5th, 2003
GRAND FORKS, ND -- This morning Bob Johanesson purchased a copy of Karl Marx' Communist Manifesto, the pre-eminent anti-capitalist doctrine at an area Barnes & Noble bookseller.
"Marx, and his colleague Frederick Engels said that the bourgeoisie exploit the world-market though a cosmopolitan mode of production," said Johanesson. The Grand Forks native reportedly decided on the W. W. Norton Critical Edition in hardback, which sources say may have cost him as much as $11.95 before sales taxes.
